Hello,
I recently purchased an LG 34' ultrawide monitor (34UC88-B). After installing the latest drivers from LG and the OnScreen Control software I am running into an issue. When I open the OnScreen Control software I get a message that says 'There is no connected monitor'. The monitor is connected using the provided displayport cable. I have tried uninstalling, restarting, etc with no luck.
I contacted customer support and they had me uninstall the drivers and reinstall with new drivers per their link (and the device panel correctly identifies the monitor). I was still having the same issues so they said send the monitor back. Everything else is working perfectly, so I'm not going to go through the trouble of sending it back as it seems like a software issue and not a hardware issue.
Has anyone else run into this / fixed this issue!

I just got the LG 49wl95c w monitor and am connected to it from my new MacBook Pro via USB-C. Whenever I start OnScreen Control, it says it needs to run a Monitor Software Update. When I run it, it never gets beyond 0% progress. It times out and says 'The monitor software update was interrupted. Please plug out the monitor power cable and try again.' But when I do this I just get the same error. Is there any way to troubleshoot this or otherwise update the monitor software on macOS?
I'm using macOS 10.15.2 (Catalina) and [Mac OS] OnScreen Control - version 3.69, released 01/06/2020.

I recently purchased LG Ultrawide monitor (Model 34UM61-P) from costco.com. I purchased this monitor because of it's screen split feature. I figured out that this feature can be accessed using ON Screen Control software. However almost all the major buttons are grayed out and there is a message - 'No Monitor Connected'. May I know how can I access the screen split feature on it?

I got my monitor last week and set it up at first with a newer laptop (Lenovo thinkpad T470) and the split screen software worked fine. Although I was not crazy about how apps with smaller windows were spanning the full screen instead of staying small as it would normally. However when I tried it with my older desktop an HP from a 7 yrs ago, the split screen does not work at all. I get the same message - 'no monitor connected'. I am writing from the HP connected to the LG ultrawide monitor - LG 34UM69G-B. if this does not work right. I am returning this and getting the Samsung at $20 more. not worth the hassle.

Others have posted the same issue around the same time (mid-December). No response from LG.

Hi there, I am having the same issue with a new monitor as well (though I have the 34wk95u ['5k2k']). Did you by any chance get this resolved? My monitors works perfectly fine, except for this important feature!
